Fellowships

The Office of Fellowships supports currently enrolled Mason students, and recent alumni, as they prepare to apply to external, nationally competitive awards. These awards—or fellowships—can help recipients pay for school, study abroad, gain research experience, and more.

Fellowships

A fellowship is an individual funding award for study or research granted by a specific association, organization, institution, or government agency. These opportunities encompass nationally competitive grants and scholarships, among others.

The Office of Fellowships at Mason will help you find a fellowship appropriate to your goals and interests, while guiding you through the entire application process.

There are many benefits to applying for a fellowship. Our fellowship applicants:

  • Strengthen their communication skills
  • Enhance their goal-setting abilities
  • Expand and solidify their network
  • Clarify their academic and professional path

We cannot guarantee that you will win an award, but we can guarantee you will grow as a scholar through the application process.
